Increase Traffic with StumbleUpon?
Jan 22nd, 2008 by admin
I’m a stickler for checking the stats on my blog first thing in the morning and periodically throughout the day. Well, this morning I received a pleasant surprise. My traffic numbers were staggering. In fact, they were hard to believe. I had no idea what was going on, because this was an outrageous day-to-day increase. After a bit of poking around, I discovered that someone (TalSiach from Israel – visit his blog at http://www.walyou.com/blog/) had added my blog to StumbleUpon (www.stumbleupon.com). Amazing! Thanks, TalSiach!
Being rather new to StumbleUpon (how did I miss this one!), I have some things to learn. I need to investigate click-through rates, how long ‘Stumblers’ (as they’re called) are staying on my blog and so on. And StumbleUpon is obviously community-driven, which means I need to set up a decent profile, start networking with other Stumblers and get busy reviewing some sites. But for a one day increase, I’m excited. Stay tuned… And please let me know your thoughts on this service. Is StumbleUpon worth the time and potential investment?

Hi Crystal,
Please note its very addictive
so beware…..lol
Thanks a lot for the link. Your blog rocks! i really love it! StumbleUpon is great , you will be able to find amazing people there , some of the best friends i met are from there. My tip for you will be , go on , register a new user , install the SU toolbar and start stumbling…..
Tal is a social media power house ! He finds and submits great content all over the web …… especially at sites like stumbleupon and Digg!
p.s. Great blog !
You need to get in on SU. I had 800 visitors to my website the first month of its existence. Then I discovered SU and made some friends. My average daily unique visitor went from a pathetic 23 to nearly 300 in two weeks. When you sign up send me a friend request(feloniousrambler.stumbleupon.com). Great site. I have thumbed it as well. Thanks for pointing out this to me Tal!
*waves* I just stumbled onto your blog. So I think it’s worthwhile, hee.
WOW. I had no idea about StumbleUpon. I’m a DIGG user, but this sounds like it might be better?
Tal is a powerhouse, and all round good guy. Stumble is great, just be careful to focus on quality content on your blog and the stumble traffic will follow. Stumble is fantastic way to share new ideas, new spins on current ideas, etc.

StumbleUpon is my key piece to the pie as far as traffic as well. Highly recommend using it - check out hankstram33.stumbleupon.com if you want to add as a friend I’m happy to share.
Hey Tal and others!
Wow! I am seriously impressed. Today, my traffic has once again more than doubled from the day before. And there are indeed a massive number of clickthroughs - not just people landing on the main page. Thanks again for bringing this wonderful service to my attention. Again, I’m still tinkering with it and have a lot to learn. I did set up the Stumble toolbar last night and have enjoyed clicking that away.

Hi Crystal,
I am waiting to see you around , as you will see ( or already saw
) the Su community is awesome great people! I would like to say thanks to all of my friends here for their good words.
I wouldn’t like to do publicity by giving my profile link here so in order to get it , All you have to do is reviewing this great post on SU and by doing that you will be able to see my profile on the right
Its about time that all of us on SU can take some lessons from The Babe of Business
