More Low-Cost Business Ideas

I’m sure you’ve heard this one before: There are a million businesses that you can start on a shoestring. Some are evergreen businesses – those that never go out of style - and some have yet to be conceived. So my advice to you is to get creative! Get busy! Start brainstorming! Look around you! Think about what you’re good at, what you enjoy doing… How about your training and education? Do you like people or prefer four-legged critters? Make a list and see what you come up with.
And if you’re still stuck at the end of the day, here are a few simple ideas to get your wheels turning:
Homemade Goodies – People love a good cookie and nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the taste of homemade bread. If you’re a brilliant baker, consider making some dough off of your dough. Stop by local supermarkets and delis. Or take your baked goods on the road by participating in local craft fairs and festivals. Just make sure you have the proper licensing to sell food.
Wall Art – Do you have a knack for painting or stenciling? Why not offer your services to high-end homeowners and businesses? Masterpiece Walls… what a great name for a legal graffiti service.
Senior Services – As the senior population grows, there is a definite need for services that extend beyond healthcare. Grocery shopping, house cleaning, appointment chauffer… A great target market? The children of aging parents…
Online Researcher – Spot on with your Web search and navigation skills? Then a great home-based business for you might be online research. Large corporations, consultants, governments… There is always a need for someone to dig up specific data and information.
