Hot Business Ideas for 2008
Dec 1st, 2007 by admin
I’m not one to beat around the bush, so let me just say this: the Internet is back in a BIG way. But this is not your net of yesterday. Today’s sites are fueled by collaborative environments, tons of free content and the ability to socialize in brand spanking new ways. That’s why Web site design tops my list of hot business ideas for 2008. It’ll take some crafty individuals to pull off the sites that clients are now demanding.
Not your cup of tea…Well, here’s the rest of the list:
Real Estate Guru - With foreclosures on the rise, this is really the time to test the real estate waters. Whether from an investment or a renovation perspective, there’s a lot to be said about a business operating in a market that contributes $2.9 trillion to the U.S. GDP.
Freelance Business Writing - More and more companies are seeking to outsource their writing requirements to save on the costs of hiring full and part-time employees. From big business to small start-ups, there is always a need for sales letters, Web site content, e-mail blasts and so on. You can swing it alone as an indepedent contractor or opt for a small virtual crew. Either way, there’s money to be made in business writing.
Green Machine - The entire planet seems to be screaming ‘Earth-friendly’, and that’s why a business focused on green will no doubt generate the green. Solar power continues its upward trend, due in large part to cheaper technologies. Not a tech head, consider eco-friendly packaging or natural foods.
Convenience Connoisseur - Everyone is pressed for time and could use a little help. With that in mind, consider starting your own errand service or coordinate a fleet of for-hire personal assistants. A little bit of time is now worth its weight in gold! Cha-ching!
This could be the year your business dreams come true. Good luck in 2008!
